Today’s update brings a strategic overhaul to naval unit visibility and infrastructure mechanics, general balance changes alongside a round of bug fixes.
Eyes on the horizon! We've overhauled the vision ranges for naval units, giving surface ships and submarines expanded reconnaissance capability, while making Aircraft Carriers more vulnerable to surprise attacks at lower levels.
Cruisers in particular see the greatest gains, with their vision range increasing significantly at higher levels, mirroring the rapid wartime development and deployment of advanced radar systems across the high seas.
Further Infrastructure Speed bonuses are now limited to friendly provinces. Armies moving on hostile ground no longer receive the speed bonus from existing infrastructure. This will make investing in infrastructure less risky, and grant a decisive mobility advantage to defenders.
Want to exploit your new found mobility? We buffed the vision range of Commandos from 50 to 70 at all levels. This brings them in line with all other Infantry units. With better intel you can now set even deadlier ambushes!
Finally, we've unified the time it takes to ready new units for battle. When deploying Unit Cards, land units now mobilize in 3 hours, and air units in 4 hours. This makes coordinating your next offensive more intuitive.
As always, balance changes will only take effect in newly created maps. Ongoing games will continue under their original rules of engagement.
This overview highlights the key changes in this week's update. For the full list of balance adjustments and changes, check out the detailed Release Notes.
