Supplies are vanishing. Radios whisper faintly in basements. And a certain underground resistance has picked a name that’s equal parts fairy tale and bad omen:

The White Rabbit.

From March 25th to April 8th, the Easter Event Down the Rabbit Hole drops you into Vaultbreaker, a fast-paced scenario where you play as the Axis and push deep into contested territory to seize heavily fortified strongholds known as Vaults. They’re defended. They’re valuable. And they’re about to become your new obsession.

Will you march in as the invaders… and discover that (thanks to the First Amendment) “underground” doesn’t mean “unprepared”?

What is “Vaultbreaker” and why are Vaults so important?

Vaultbreaker is the special event scenario map for Down the Rabbit Hole. You take the field as the Axis, pushing into the American heartland with all the subtlety of a tank battalion at a county fair. Your mission is simple on paper:

• Advance across North America
• Capture key strategic positions and crack open the White Rabbit Vaults
• Walk away with bonus Victory Points and coveted Warbonds

In practice? It’s a race against time, defenses, and every other commander with the exact same idea.

Vaults, explained

The White Rabbit is the local, underground resistance. Organized, determined, and extremely committed to making your life difficult around every Vault. Vaults are fiercely defended strongholds. They’re not just fancy dots on the map. They’re the event’s core objectives - and capturing them pays off.

When you take a Vault, you can expect:

• Bonus Victory points - Each Vault location is worth 20 Victory points total
• Sought-after resources - Warbonds, Money and Manpower that will boost your economy well into the future
• A strategic foothold - located at critical border intersections

If you’re the type of commander who sees a fortified target and thinks “Yes, that looks expensive” - Vaults are for you. However you decide to proceed… you’ll be writing the next chapter, one captured stronghold at a time.

How the event plays: fast, focused, and full of traps

This scenario runs at 6x speed, which means every hour matters. A slow start isn’t “cautious” - it’s “already behind.”

Here’s what to plan for:

• High-value objectives: Vaults attract attention (and artillery)
• Momentum wins: holding a Vault can snowball your entire campaign with its valuable Warbonds
• Underground resistance: while they will stick to defending their vaults - the White Rabbit doesn’t defend politely
