18 February 2026

Attention Commanders

This mid-season update brings a mix of exciting new features, strategic enhancements, and quality of life improvements to World War III.

Leading the charge, we welcome Mathieu Renaud, codename Kraken, a submarine specialist, giving your fleets a new edge against surface units. Players can now deploy the Static Radar System, a second static defensive structure that provides unmatched intelligence and battlefield awareness, perfect for tracking enemy movements and planning your strategies with precision. To help players master their legendary officers, a series of new missions has been added, focusing on the AoE Effects, making it easier to learn, test, and apply these abilities effectively.

This update also introduces a range of UI and visual improvements, enhanced information panels, and better alignment across devices. Additionally, we’ve refined unit balancing, doctrines, and terrain modifiers, while fixing several issues affecting mobilization, loadouts, attacks and navigation.

Static Radar System

We’re introducing the Static Radar System, the second static defensive structure to join the battlefield. Best of all, it’s available for everyone from day one.

The Static Radar System is all about vision, awareness, and smart positioning. You can deploy it at province borders or province centers, giving you flexibility in how you monitor enemy movement. Push it closer to hostile territory for greater visibility but beware as the closer you place it, the higher the risk of detection and destruction.

Unlike traditional defensive structures, the Static Radar System provides minimal combat or defensive bonuses. Its purpose is pure intelligence.

With upgrades, the system can detect:

  • Ground units
  • Fixed wing aircraft
  • Rotary wing aircraft

The Static Radar System can also be enhanced further through the Mobile Radar technology tree, allowing you to expand detection range and improve tracking especially against low flying aircraft, while strengthening your overall situational awareness across borders.

Whether you’re planning invasions, guarding your frontlines, or tracking enemy air movements, the Static Radar System adds a new layer of strategy and risk-reward decision making to World War III.
