Who is Lucien Laroche?
The forgotten son of a faded noble house, Lucien Laroche was never destined for glory. Neither burdened by ambition nor stirred by patriotism, he spent his youth in cruel curiosity—building insect traps, devising tortures, and orchestrating twisted games of control.
But in war, such tendencies found purpose.
Commissioned through bloodline rather than merit, Lucien was placed in command of an artillery unit. There, he found his element—not in brute force, but in the slow, suffocating science of chemical warfare. His shells don't just shatter bodies—they linger, they choke, they haunt.
Lucien’s Unique Abilities:

- Improved Diffusion – Increases the coverage radius of Lucien’s chemical bombardments, blanketing more of the battlefield in lethal mist.
- Aerodynamic Shells – Extends the range of Toxic Barrage, allowing him to unleash gas strikes from greater distances with unnerving precision.
With his Toxic Barrage, Lucien brings a new kind of firepower to the front. He doesn't strike where the enemy is—he strikes where they will be, then watches the gas do the rest.

- Availability: Deploy Lucien from Day 8
- Toxic Barrage Mechanics:
• Special command issued from Lucien’s unit interface
• Select a target area within range
• Shells land after 3 in-game hours (at speed factor 1)
• Gas lingers for 9 in-game hours, dealing hourly damage to all units inside
• Note: These durations scale with the speed of your game round. For example:
– Speed Factor 2 = Shells land after 1.5 real-time hours, gas lingers for 4.5 real-time hours
– Speed Factor 4 = Shells land after 45 minutes, gas lingers for 2.25 hours
• Damage is distributed evenly among all unit stacks within the zone - Gas! Gas! Gas! Bonus: 15-40 hourly damage
- Improved Diffusion Bonus: 25-50 coverage area
- Aerodynamic Shells Bonus: 30-80 barrage range
- Recovery Time: 60 hours
- Daily Cost: 1200 Money
